My Gear!

As you may have read, in my previous post about water ski equipment needed – It’s possible you’re wondering what some of my favorite gear items are! So, let’s dive into the gear I use and my thoughts on the products…

Boat

We ride behind a Moomba Outback boat and love it! It is a bit of any older style but it gets the job done and proves my earlier point that the top of the line is not always necessary. This boat has great speed and smooth power. We just added a new tower to the boat so we are even more excited for another summer with it quickly approaching.

Ski

I am a lefty slalom skier. I ski with a Connelly Women’ Concept Slalom Water Ski. On my ski, I have the Connelly Shadow front and rear full boot bindings. These items are a little on the pricier end but I am very pleased and the quality is great. I have only had this ski for one summer and love it so far. I am looking forward to being even more comfortable on my ski this summer and improving my skills.

Rope & Handle

We use a Proline Course Radius waterski handle and rope. This one is handy because it has 8 sections with different lengths to serve multiple purposes. An overall great rope.

Life Vest

For my skiing life vest, I wear an O’Neill comp. ski vest. This one fits me very well. It is thin and does not interfere. The only down fall is sometimes it can be a pain to put on and off with no zipper. If you are not a comfortable water skier or a decent swimmer, I would not recommend this particular style of life jacket. Furthermore, it is not considered certified and is not a PFD – so be careful.

In conclusion, I am currently happy with all of these times I am using. However, I am always up for trying new items as well!
